Do you wish you had 100% control over your emotions?
Well if you also answered yes to that question, then you're in the right place, because what I’m about to reveal to you is a secret hidden in plain sight, and once you put this into practice yourself, you will realize how easy it can be to overcome anxiety in an instant!
We need to start by looking at the picture above which is what we call the Emotional Triad. The Emotional Triad is a 3 part masterpiece for mastering the systematic process of your emotional self so you can become the master of your emotions rather than the other way around.
Because when you can master physiology, focus, and language, you can always snap yourself out of anxiety and panic attacks and put yourself into a home-sweet-home feeling of comfort.
Hard to believe?
Let's try it out for yourself so you don't have to go on faith alone.
Let’s start with the first one Physiology
If you don’t know what this means, it’s a word that simply means the way you use your body. This includes posture, gesture, voice, and so on. The way we use our body directly affects the way we feel at a biological level. To demonstrate this, I’ve put together a quick little exercise you can try right now from the comfort of your home.
Let’s start with number 1...
1. Right now wherever you are, hunch your body over and make a frown on your face…
Now notice how you feel...
Not so good right?
2. OK now sit up straight, put your hands up like a champion, and put a big goofy fake smile on your face!
Now how do you feel?
Probably a little silly... but WAY better than the first one right??
So now you have a first-hand experience of how physiology affects your emotional state, and now you can already begin to imagine the power of mastering all three sides to the Emotional Triad…
So let’s move onto the second one, Focus
Focus very simply is what we choose to focus on!
Because at any given moment there are millions of bits of information in your environment that your brain could choose to focus on, and what you consciously choose to make your focus will greatly impact your emotional state!
Let’s put this into practice so you know what I mean…
I want you to take a good look at your room right now and locate everything that is the color blue.
Now if were to close your eyes right now, could you identify everything in the room that was red?
Now you might get a few things, but you wouldn’t have the full picture because you weren’t focusing on the right things!
In the same way, let’s say you’re in a conversation with someone and they give you a compliment. If you’re socially anxious, you might hear the theme say that and feel suspicious because your mind is focused on potential threats and may falsely read the compliment as disingenuous, when in reality it was a perfect authentic comment from someone else!
Imagine what you’re missing out on with the wrong focus!
